Amit Capacitors Pvt Ltd. Formerly known as Amit Castings Pvt Ltd. Is promoted by Mr Ashok Kumar Tibrewala, the Managing Director who hails from a family industrial entrepreneurs. The company has three manufacturing units - two in Hyderabad and one in Goa engaged in production of metallised Plastic Film Capacitors which include Motor Run Capacitors, Floroscent and Discharge Lamp Capacitors, as per "IS" Standards.
The products of the company are marketed under the brand names of CONCAP and AMCAP which are popular with the manufacturers of Electric Fan and OEM's market.
The company's growth is significant. The turnover has increased to Rs. 10.75 crores as on 31.3.1999 from Rs. 8.44 cores as on 31.3.1998.
The company plans to tap new markets for its products by entering into the fields of airconditioners, UPS Systems and Washing Machines.
The quality of goods produced by the company are well appreciated and recognised. It was bestowed with the prestigious Industrial Promotion Award for the year 1992-93 and Council for Industrial Trade Development Gold Patra for the best productivity and Quality Control for manufacture of Capacitors.

The capacitors are manufactured with Laboratory accuracy. Under acknowledgement from National Test House, Calcutta, Capacitors are manufactured to withstand voltages upto 440 volts. Several key specifications are fully satisfied to enable every design element give an excellent feature of performance. Capacitors are vacuum impregnated at 0-001 mm of Hg with Non PCB impregnate that does not contain chlorinated substances or presents any ecological problem. The leaders int he electric fan industry such as Khaitan, Polar, Usha, Orient and Crompton Greaves have acknowledged the consistent quality of the capacitors.
